Documentary Photography & Visual Storytelling
My documentary photography practice grew out of many years working as a researcher and curator at Melbourne Museum, where I combined oral history and photography to record people’s lives, work, communities and connections to place. My photographs have been exhibited through Museums Victoria projects including One Year On: COVID-19 in Melbourne’s Suburbs and The Invisible Farmer Project, with work also acquired for Museums Victoria’s State Collection.
Today, I undertake documentary photography and visual storytelling commissions for museums, arts and cultural organisations, community projects, growers, makers and regional businesses. I am particularly drawn to stories of people, place, work, environment and social change, creating authentic imagery for exhibitions, publications, websites and digital projects. Please get in touch to discuss a project.
